Sound artist Becky Grajeda brings together fellow practitioners Kurt Peterson and Jessica Speer to improvise a conversation embedded in a live mix of phonographic and musical recordings. Developed out of exchanges based on banalities at their shared employment, Grajeda and Peterson will move beyond the banal, together devising, deconstructing and perfecting absurd concepts and contexts. Speer’s mix of recordings on audio tape will disrupt and inform Grajeda’s conversation with Peterson, each taking turns at the periphery of the soundscape.
